Our Ministries really define who we are and they provide the focus of parish life.  At present we have the following ministries in which, as a congregation, we are actively engaged.  Click on each ministry to find out more about that work.
  • Worship focuses on the religious aspects of our Anglican church experience
  • Pastoral Care is aimed at keeping in touch with those who can't always come to church

  • Music Ministry ensures that our worship is augmented with the joy of music - instrumental as well as vocal
  • Church School provides the young family members with both learning and fun as part of their worship.
  • Chancel Guild supports our worship by ensuring the appropriate Sunday service needs are provided
  • Family Market is part of our Outreach program providing low cost clothing and other items for the community
  • Soup & Sandwich is also part of our Outreach work and operates a lunch kitchen for those in the community who cannot always afford a hot meal.
  • Social Committee focuses on the family involvement in the church in a non-religious atmosphere.
  • St. John's Cemetery is a registered Ontario cemetery offering burial services to the community (both Anglican and non-parishioners).
  • Property Committee ensures the ongoing viability of our church buildings and the rectory.
St. John's Cemetery

Our cemetery is located in a rural setting at #5268 on the 6th Line of New Tecumseth east of County Road 55.   Situated on a hill overlooking rolling farmland, it is a place of quiet beauty.  Surrounding St. John's Church, the cemetery has provided burial and cremation services to the community for over 150 years.

Our Cemetery Board manages the care and maintenance of the cemetery grounds and the memorial garden - visitors often remarking on the loving care taken to preserve the cemetery's natural beauty.  The Board also ensure that all burials are performed and all tombstone/markers installed according to the bylaws.

Visitors are always welcome during daylight hours from 8am till sunset.  Plots, for casket or urn burial, are available for purchase as are columbarium niches for cremation urns.

For more information on St. John's Cemetery click here to go to the Cemetery web page.  To contact our Cemetery e-mail the Coordinator or call at 905 729 2492.
