  Our Primary Ministries

Our Ministries really define who we are and they provide the focus of parish life.  At present we have the following ministries in which, as a congregation, we are actively engaged.  Click on each ministry to find out more about that work.
  • Worship focuses on the religious aspects of our Anglican church experience
  • Pastoral Care is aimed at keeping in touch with those who can't always come to church

  • Music Ministry ensures that our worship is augmented with the joy of music - instrumental as well as vocal
  • Church School provides the young family members with both learning and fun as part of their worship.
  • Chancel Guild supports our worship by ensuring the appropriate Sunday service needs are provided
  • Family Market is part of our Outreach program providing low cost clothing and other items for the community
  • Soup & Sandwich is also part of our Outreach work and operates a lunch kitchen for those in the community who cannot always afford a hot meal.
  • Social Committee focuses on the family involvement in the church in a non-religious atmosphere.
  • St. John's Cemetery is a registered Ontario cemetery offering burial services to the community (both Anglican and non-parishioners).
  • Property Committee ensures the ongoing viability of our church buildings and the rectory.
Worship
We operate within the Anglican Church of Canada and our worship style follows the guidelines set out by our Diocese of Toronto.

But that is not to say we are staid or strict in our services.  We have incorporated different music into some services (a recent blue grass service as an example), we follow different styles not just morning prayer or communion, and we involve many from the congregation in each service.

Worship is often a very personal thing and our goal is to ensure that your prayers and church experience are uplifting and rewarding.  We also take worship out of the church setting, by delivering it to shut-ins, by visiting people in their homes and by sharing amongst one another in all that we do.

Please contact our priest, Rev Naomi Miller, for anything regarding the worship side of our religious life. She can normally be reached at the church office at 905 936 4089 or by e-mail.  Rev Naomi is normally in the office weekday mornings except Tuesday.
